Case Closed: Odd Cases is a collection of medical malpractice case studies that are memorable for their unexpected circumstances. Though these cases feature odd occurrences and scenarios, they also include several clear and relevant risk management issues.

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
  • recognize practical strategies to increase patient safety, avoid litigation and enhance defensibility in the event of a lawsuit;
  • discuss how informed consent may be a critical issue in liability claims; and
  • explain how good documentation techniques can help prevent malpractice claims.
