Case Closed: Trial Victories (2nd Edition) is a collection of medical malpractice cases that were won at trial. These cases symbolize a long journey for each physician involved . . . the journey from accusation to vindication in the courtroom. Though the claims described in this activity represent trial victories for our policyholders, several risk management issues are apparent.

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
    • recognize practical strategies to increase patient safety, avoid litigation and enhance defensibility in the event of a lawsuit;
    • discuss how informed consent may be a critical issue in liability claims; and
    • explain how good documentation techniques can help prevent malpractice claims.

    CME Discount:
    TMLT policyholders who complete this program may earn a 3% discount that will be applied to their next eligible policy period.

    CME Credit Statement:
    The Texas Medical Liability Trust is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
