This article provides an overview of what is currently known about the effect of COVID-19 on preventative care, current preventative care guidelines for adult care, and how physicians can encourage patients to comply with these guidelines.

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
- discuss the impact of COVID-19 on preventative care;
- describe accepted guidelines for preventative medicine in adult patients; and
- explain the need for preventative care with patients at high risk for severe COVID-19 infection.
